11 January 2010: DNTPSC Established a Mediation Working Group, to Support Landa Data Collection Process in Dili

In January 2010, DNTPSC and Ita Nia Rai Project that are supported by USAID, established a mediation working group to support land dispute resolution in Dili. Mr. Antonio Verdial, Dorector of DNTPSC said "the objective of the working group are to support information on land data collection process, to prevent conflict and facilitate land dispute resolution beetwen community in Dili. 29 December 2009: Director of DNTPSC Called Land Owners in Timor-Leste to Participate in Land Data Collection Process.

Today, 29 December 2009, Director of DNTPSC called land owner in Capital Districts to participate in land data collection process that  are run by Ita Nia Rai Program. Director of DNTPSC, Antonio Verdial de Sousa said “that since 2008 DNTPSC work together with the Ita Nia Rai program and started land data collection process in 7 Capital Districts in Timor-Leste.  In 2010 the land data collection process will be expanded to other District Capitals in Timor Leste. 18 December 2009: Land Claims Collection reaches 7010 claims in 7 Districts

The Ita Nia Rai programme has now collected 7010 land claims in 7 districts of Timor-Leste: Aileu, Baucau, Bobonaro, Liquica, Manatuto, Oecusse and Dili.

3 December 2009: Land data collection process closed in Capital District Mantuto.

Direcção Nacional de Terras, Propriedades e Serviços Cadastrais (DNTPSC) and Ita Nia Rai project funded by USAID, closed land data collection process in Capital District Manatuto. Manatuto District was one of the pilot area for Ita Nia Rai program where procedures for data collection were tested in Timor-Leste. The pilor process in Manatuto district has started on the 17 November 2008. This process has finished by the 30 November 2009.
